Congress needs a Drill Instructor.

Tim O’Hara was born and raised in Southern Ohio,
the middle of five boys and the son of a Vietnam Marine veteran. Four days after graduating from Western Brown High School, he went to boot camp at Parris Island and served seven and a half years in the Marine Corps. His military career included several deployments as an infantryman, countless leadership training, and a tour as a drill instructor, where he made Marines, taught them the values of country before self, and instilled in them the patriot duty to the cause. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant.

After his military service, Tim wanted to move to the best place to live, work, and raise a family: Southern Ohio.
There, he pursued a career in small business, quickly finding success franchising RadioShack dealerships, Verizon Wireless agencies, LaRosa’s Pizzerias, and Dunkin’ Donuts franchises in Southern Ohio, employing thousands of Ohioans in the process.
During COVID, Tim saw firsthand the damage that an out-of-control government could do to a business – particularly in the retail and food service industries. He managed to lead his businesses through that time but saw that many Ohio businesses didn’t make it.
Tim has lived his life serving others and creating opportunities for working families, all without a college degree, but with the work ethic and value set he learned in Southern Ohio. That’s why he taught himself and has lived by a simple motto:
Never forget where you came from. Focus on where you’re going. And remember the ones that helped you along the way.
Tim has been married for 26 years to his wife Tracy, who is a native of Clermont County and a Glen Este graduate. They reside in Hamersville with their three daughters.

AMERICA FIRST
For decades, politicians have gone to D.C. to fight for themselves first. As a Drill Instructor, Tim made Marines. And he instilled in them a devotion to country and to put service before self. He will take that same set of principles to Congress to fight for the interests of America and the working families of Southern Ohio against special interests and enemies foreign and domestic.
SECURE OUR BORDER
It's common sense. We don't have national security if we don't have border security. In Congress, Tim O'Hara will vote to authorize the use of military force to secure our southern border. And he will lead the fight to declare drug cartels as terrorist organizations. It's time to get tough.
RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS
As a veteran, a gun owner, and a protective father, Tim firmly supports our Second Amendment rights. Tim will fight any effort to infringe on our freedom that guarantees all other freedoms. And he will be unafraid to stand up to the woke left as they try to tear it away.
BACK THE BLUE
We must support those that keep our communities safe. In communities around America and around Ohio, crime is surging. Our law enforcement are the front lines. Tim will stand firm in support of our men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to maintain order in our communities.
STAND FOR OUR MILITARY AND VETERANS
Our veterans deserve the very best. As a veteran himself, Tim will look out for them in Congress and ensure they have the access to the very best care in the settings they choose. And he will ensure our military is strong, is not abused, and is focused on keeping us safe – not the woke Biden/Harris social justice agenda.
STAND UP TO CHINA
China has been taking advantage of America for too long. They have hurt our workers, our local industries, our young minds through Tik Tok, and our citizens through the fentanyl they produce. Tim O'Hara supports standing up to China, and he would support banning China and friends of the Chinese Communist Party from buying American farmland.
LET INNOVATION FLOURISH
Tim built businesses from scratch and believes that the United States needs more innovation and less government control. He also wants to keep that innovation in the U.S. In cryptocurrency, the lack of regulatory clarity could drive investment and innovation overseas. Tim believes the U.S. should remain a leader in this sector and create policy that encourages growth and continued development. However, he would never support any effort to create central bank digital currencies.
